Because I am a completist at eight

Last week I played two CDs
But some things were left out
And so the tracks I didn't play
Are what tonight's about

An obscure past at eight

There are CDs people put out
To fund a charity
Like the Austin Crisis Center
Or Community Shares in Cincinnati
And, given to my dad,
He gifted them to me
So, I'd like to share them
Hey, not bad for free

A weekend's respite at eight

Projects are being completed
Somehow, we're getting them done
Too many requests at one time
(Each a priority one)
For now, I'm going to forget them
And hopefully have some fun

Cooling down at eight

We've finally hit the month of June
Soon, it will be hot
We'll have a hint of Ninja Tune
At least that was the thought

Tomato or potato Europe at eight

And so we've reached the end of May
We deal with rain and heat
And will while the time away
With a little beat
