Tigers like swimming at nine

Next week is the new year
So get ready for that
Its element is water
Its sign, a great big cat

Mild victories at nine

We had a cold front this week
And so there was a chance
For another blackout
But we didn't, so let's dance

Clocking OUT at nine

Someone caught the 'rona
Now we all work from home
I get so much work done
When I am left alone

Trying to stay positive at nine

It starts with just a sniffle
Graduates into a cough
Then, sore throat and fever
After that, all bets are off

Trying to feel it, starting at EIGHT

Outside today was eighty degrees
Which makes it difficult to believe
That even without snow
I somehow still know
It is startlingly Christmas Eve

Let it snow at nine

Next week is the first day of winter
Today, it was eighty degrees
"Climate change is a lie!"
But how to deny
Such glaring examples as these?

Flourishing in the evening at nine

Did you light candles this week?
A vespertine activity
Then place them in the window
So everybody can see
