At eight PM, a lucky date
The Chinese all seem to revere
(And twice the sum of all their fears)

As the sun has moved from Cancer into Leo strong,
so day's slow decrease has begun and heat bear down.
As another moon has passed, so rents are due once more.
What primal forces bring us close and cheer our hearts
as we gather once more to dance our cares away?
Such mysteries have oft been discussed
and shall again, as clocks strike the eighth hour.

On precious time or friendships dear

Last weekend, I was at A-Kon
The oldest running con we've seen
(This one was number nineteen)
Helping a friend with karaoke
Meant a free staff badge for me
Three hours was all I could stand.
Tonight I'll play stuff from Japan

8PM is closer than you think

Time so quickly passes by
Hours turn into seconds
Then, one day you realize
More past than future beckons
The harder that you try to squeeze
The more they pass away
A day turns quickly to a week
Minutes turn into days
