Started early again, at eight!

The weather now, to warm from cool
(The cycle, once again, repeats)
And brings villains: Egyptian and Roman
Can we see ourselves reflected in these empires?
Passover's First. Find the afikoman!
Then Easter comes with all its treats
And after all that, APRIL FOOL!

Eight mops for eight legs at eight

Time to organize files
Time to wipe down the screen
Those cables back there
Going every which where
All need to be bundled and cleaned

It's getting near time for the taxes
Sweaters, now washed, put away
Now that it's spring,
Cleaning up is the thing
So that's the music that I'll play

Walk the catwalk at nine.

I thought, "How about just trombones?"
THE SLIDES OF MARCH! How very droll.
Well, I don't have those kids of stones
And that's a set that takes its toll.
Oh, but there's that fashion thing....
There's something I could pick at.
Are clothes a subject people sing?
It would seem so. So that is that.

Pretty ladies at nine

Pretty's for flowers and boats on the water.
It's not for young women of this day and age.
Maybe something you say to your best friend's cute daughter
Or girls who you covet, well out of your range.

I've got sweet tunes I'm gonna play!

Pickup without notice

A quick little pick-up set at the club after Zoe finished. She's played some Macross Frontier, I figured I'd stay in a similar vein.

Savor the moment at nine

There was a joke about spending cuts
But that would be in poor taste
To mock the fragile "who's and "what's"
On which those things are based
This sort of thing is not peanuts
(Yet, not the worst we've faced)

I have no idea

I did a pick-up set at the Velvet Sunday night. These are when there's no one on (try typing that five times fast) and so the stream is open. We had some great folks playing on Sunday; and, as I've been ill, I wasn't out doing the things I usually do. I got to listen in and I'm really stoked at the talent we've got over there.

Sorry that I don't have any time-markers on this. I think it was an hour-and-a-half before I sent a notice, but that's only because people showed up.

As it turns out, it's six-and-a-half hours. I think I started at 7:30 PM (SL time). Make of that what you will.
